Well thank's very much Microsoft.

Well it happened again; my monthly xbox live renewal has been processed and ''paid'' for without me even opening my wallet.

Theres no other explaination for it; I don't remember setting up any direct debit, neither have I any money in the bank for MS to draw any out. Could it simply be I have a mystery E-ticket that gets me a life-time worth of Live...Surely not?

Any ideas? (Bare in mind, this has happened several times now.)Well thank's very much Microsoft.
Don't advertise the fact your getting Live for Free then if you want to keep it. Just shut up and enjoy it.Well thank's very much Microsoft.
They will catch up eventually and make you pay for it when they do lol.
it will catch up, and then you will be banned intill you pay. happend to me when my credit card expired.
If it turns out that you have not paid, and its a mistake on their part, and they come after you at a later date, get some consumer rights information. I don't know where you live, but in the UK I would speak to what we call Trading Standards ( a free government organisation that helps the public if they have issues with companies)

Ignorance of the Fact is not a defense in ANY market. You KNOW your not paying for a service and you are recieving said service, It might be a screw up on their part, but if they realise the mistake and you never reported it you are still responsible for payment.

As Zemus said, I'd definitely report it. It's better to admit it now then to get nailed in the end.
Obviously you just purchases 1 month live over your xbox/ online and it says it has an automatic renewal.. Which means that when it expires....it RENEWS the membership AUTOMATICALLY.

that's why I stick with buying cards at stores and putting in the code.
How do people not learn about this? Iver been xboxlive member for 5+ years and not one issue like this. How does this kind of thing happen over and over to people without them learning?
live it up while can but like everyone else was saying get that consumer info

It's not free. M$ would never allow that to happen. They will find a way to bill you. This happened to me and I had to call them 5 or 6 times until they finally cancelled. About 3 months later I spoke to a really rude girl that insisted that I owe money and that I never called to cancel. I had all the reference numbers and she wouldn't believe me. She became aggressive and rude, then hung up on me, when I refused payment.I finally gotit worked out but I will never give M$ my CC# again.Call 18004myxbox and get ready to have fun. Remember write down the reference # and date, everytime you call.
report it now man before they bend you over and show you the bill. microsoft is not the type of company that has the courtesy to give you a reach around
