In your opinion did I make a mistake

I just bought Left 4 Dead on Amazon, but should I have just waited for L4D2? I wanted a game for the summer but I could have maybe chosen something else. To late now though.In your opinion did I make a mistake

You can buy left 4 dead 2 when it goes out and you will have a collection of left 4 dead. In your opinion did I make a mistake

But from what I've heard the story isn't great so I wouldn't be missing out on that and it comes out right around when Modern Warfare 2 comes out which would mean I wouldn't have time for both.
I doubt L4D2 will have many improvements over L4D. L4D will probably maintain a steady online base seeing how quickly the sequel will be released, so you made a good decision. Keep L4D, buy MW2 when it comes out, then when L4D runs out of a fanbase buy L4D2 used for much less money.
personally I think you haven't made a mistake Left 4 Dead is still played a lot online and while L4D2 could have been made in to Downloadable Content it still is a good title to have to prepare yourself for more carnage in the sequal.

Instead of making a whole new thread I thought I'd just ask my question here too. Is the game very scary or just intense?
Not really scary, just intense when you and your team gets surrounded, with your buddies screaming through your headset... really fun though, good buy!

L4D has no story at all...so you wouldn't be missing anything if you skipped it, but it is a very fun game. It's not scary...just intense and frantic, it's a good buy.

No you didn't, L4D is a very fun game and you'll definitely enjoy it.
Well considering theres a group with over 3000 members on steam boycotting L4D2, you made a wise decission getting #1.
Naa, you didn't make a mistake. IT'll still have a devoted community even after L4D2 comes out because there will be people who just don't want a new one or will hate something about it. So either way you are golden :) And no it's not scary, it's very intense. However, there have been a few times when the game has made me jump. So take that for what it is lol.
