nvm, i found the info at tom's hardware guide...http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Xbox-360-rrod-jasper-65nm,6647.htmlHow to identify Jasper chipset?
If you can afford the extra money get a ''Pro''. I would try an avoid the arcade. The HDD is VERY useful and quite frankly worth the extra money.Correct me if I am wrong but purchasing a HDD separate from the console will end up costing more. If you plan on getting a HDD anyway get them together.
Whatever you do, DO NOT buy the arcade model. You have to buy the HDD, HD cables, wireless controller and hedset all separately. You'll end up paying more than the cost of 60gb version.

I was planning on buying the Arcade bundle, then getting the 60 gb hdd kit with the hdd, 3 months of Gold, headset and an ethernet cable. It's 100, and I would get 3 months worth of free XBL gold. Doesn't that sound good?
yeah, i should probably wait and save up so i can get the pro. thanks for the help.
There is nothing wrong with the arcade, it plays 95% of the games just fine. You can get a 120gb hard drive and headset for less than $100 on ebay when you want them.
Here's the link that tells you how to tell if it has the new Jasper chipset: http://www.xboxist.com/xbox-360/news/how-to-identify-an-xbox-360-with-jasper-chipset--009548.php
