Ya, i know :(
whats games on demand ?
again a very good idea from M$, this system would be perfect if it weren't for two very big issues no free online play, and the system is going to breakdown on you sometimes twice a year. regardless i'm looking forward to this as well.
Why would people be looking forward to something that is going to spell the end of the second hand games market (in time) Is going to limit choice and free market bargaining. I don't get it.
This could be really awesome if M$ doesn't become greedy and they will upload new games on launch.
Getting new titles is sometimes difficult here so it would be awesome to download them directly on my Xbox at release.
I'm not gonna use this. I only buy games when I get a good deal. You can count on sales being nonexistent...

Because companies like Gamestop that sell used games take lots of profit away from the people who are making our games?

No they don't, the game creator still gets the same amount of money (the initial $60 for the game), but then Gamestop might just make more money if the game is returned.

Sure, the developers get money for the first purchase. But think about how many pre-owned games get bought? Those are potential buyers of new games that companies lose out on because the customer (understandably) wants to save $5 and buy a pre-owned game. If you buy a game new, the developers get part of the profit. When you buy it used at Gamestop, Gamestop gets the money. The developers don't get any of it. So yes, the developers don't make a profit on those pre-owned games, just Gamestop. And that means companies like Gamestop take lots of profit away from people who make our games. If you still don't understand, a easy-to-get example: It's like a pirate paying for a movie, then selling it off for cheaper. The people who made the movie get the money for the first purchase, but they don't get any money from what the pirate got for re-selling it for cheaper. Do your homework buddy.
I really hope this isnt the future of gaming. I like having a tangible copy of the games I buy. While flawed, gamestops trading system has come to my aid a few times.
