It'll fail. I can feel it. Def Jam Rapstar Preview
i think its bomb. it will not fail cause i know me and everyone i know wil buy it. so dope.
I'm more of a rock n roll kinda guy but I really liked the first and second Def Jam games back on original recipe Xbox. The last Def Jam game left such a bad impression on me that I'll probably be passing on Def Jam games from here on out.Edit: I probably should've clicked the link first. It's not for me.

editing your gamertag

[usn]gamertag

i wanted to know if someone knows how to add the brackets

\thanksediting your gamertag
You mean in COD4 or Waw? That is where you put your clan tag.editing your gamertag
i've seen in COD4
You just do it from the barracks. It says edit clan tag or something like that. I just made up a clan and it was a clan of one ;).

You know that old creepy pedaphiles are going to play and talk to Milo all day long. It's like the pedophile simulator in the wrong hands. What happens if your naked infront of Mi ...
He'll start complimenting you I bet.
I imagine that someone who strips in front of their Xbox to see what happens just stands there, giggling like the idiot they are.
I bet he would say no thank you I am not hungry and do not require any cocktail weenies.
Eh eh eh... Possibilitys =D
Haha this is funny
Well he might laugh a bit and point, but what will most likely happen is the government will be hacking into your feed and be watching you and adding the information to your file. Can you imagine if the government gets their hand in this, with the facial recognition technology and voice recognition they could potentially track and locate fugitives or people on the Most Wanted list all over the world if they step into a Natal equipped home. Let's not forget that it would also be a very effective means of keeping better tabs on terrorist chatter. Looking forward to getting one.... because I have nothing to hide :)

If I was to buy a broken Xbox 360

Could I get it repaired for free?If I was to buy a broken Xbox 360
Wouldn't count on it, especially if the guy didn't bother to get it fixed for free himself.

Only if it's the RROD, and it's less then 3 years old.Actually, if it's less then a year old they will fix any thing wrong with it. RROD is 3 yrsIf I bought a broken 360.
ive never done business with microsoft but with nintendo its a 50 doller fix up. If its the same price for microsoft i say go for it i might just take the same route its so much cheaper
A co-worker of mine had his Xbox 360 come down with the red ring of death, and he gave me his dead system for free so I did a little research and found out that it was the power adapter that had the problem. I bought a replacement adapter from a local game store and the Xbox works fine! Now I have 2 systems, but I don't use the ''free'' one much
Why did you double post this???
maybe, ur going to have to figure out if it is registered already or not. i did this, i bought a broke xbox 360 for $65 and i went to see if it was thinking maybe i can get it repaired for free. i registered it and it said that the xbox 360 is already registered under a different gamertag. so i couldn't get it repaired. right now it is just sitting on a table opened up. i tried fixing it but no luck so i'm going to have to find someone who can fix it. i looked around on craigslist and they seem pretty far away.

Question involving Xbox Live

Hey guys, my buddy's xbox live has recently ''stopped working.'' He says live isn't reading his IP Address all of a sudden and he can't figure out what's wrong with it. I thought it would something to do with his firewall settings but he said all his other wireless services work such as his PSN. What do you guys think could be wrong with it? Thanks in advance

Do I have to walk around the house to make my character walk around in the games? What if I have to walk 50, 000 feet across a level and I only have 6 feet of space in my house?Natal: how the heck are you going to wal ...
Stand still and pretend to walk...
this, it seems that is what is going to happen to walk.
Buy a treadmill
I figured leaning would work quite well. I mean it works with a skateboard so why can't we just use it in an FPS. I lean backwards and i runn backwards and vice versa. The only problem i could find about that is that you may not mean to lean, but you do or because leaning backwards is not the easiest thing to do while focusing on a game you may end up falling over. Also you could just lean or upper body and not your lower making you be able to stand parallel to the tv rather than stand like a skateboard to it (meaning shoulders facing the tv). What i would though is if it can see small enough movements like finger movements. So if i was palying an fps can i pull back my finger to shot the trigger. I hope it can because that would be awesome.

lol Sorry I'm just picturing myself running backwards on the spot in my living room and trying to shoot an ememy with my invisible gun at the same time.

I think this will be good for party games but it hasnt been thought through very well for actual gaming purposes.
i would go with pretend walking as my best guess. Gonna be interesting to see how online FPS's play out though, how would you shoot your gun?

Turning your head could turn the screen (i don't mean turning it so you can't see the screen, but enough) or they could pull a Wii and make it so when your gun points close enough to the side it turns you.
Just lean forward and try not to fall down.
Ok, how stupid are people going to look playing with this thing.
Just lean forward and try not to fall down.
lol I know. The demo looked cool for party games but I dont think MS thought this true for its application in actual games.
Ok, how stupid are people going to look playing with this thing.
ya, but think about the fun you'll be having, unless they pull a Wii on us and make all the game railsliders that move for you, and all you have to do is move your hands.

Buy a treadmill
Really? Am I the only one that apreciated this post?
:P
Nope, I envisioned some sort of massive track ball we would run on...it would work well! :)

Stand still and pretend to walk...
this, it seems that is what is going to happen to walk.
actually no. The game will guide you, just like the skateboard controller for the new tony hawk game. You'll have control over the steering.
I don't know how you will go forward and backward, but to move left and right you use your hands. You just put your right arm out to go right and your left arm out to go left.
Buy a treadmill
Win.

But yeah, I don't know how it will work either.

Also, the TH game you need to push next to your board.
Wave your hands in a ''W'' motion? :PThen if a cowboy walks in the room, wave your hands in a ''Y-M-C-A'' motion.
Wave your hands in a ''W'' motion? :P
To walk backwards, wave your hands in an ''S'' motion. To walk left, wave your hands in an ''A'' motion. To walk to the right, wave your hands in a ''D'' motion. Here's how to play a shooter with Natal: You sit in a chair and pretend to use a mouse and keyboard.
I think it would be interesting if you controlled your characters movement with one hand/arm and his actions with the other. So you stick your left thumb up and turn it in any direction to move your character, and with the other arm you swing your sword/aim your gun/etc

Yo.
I%26#39;m still on my first 360.  I bought it in February of 2006, haven%26#39;t had any major problems with it yet. ;)
I got mine April 28 2006 and it's still going strong.
Very first person to recieve my console on launch night from Gamestop back in november 05, still going strong too.
november 23rd 2005 and still going strong. though got the red lights scare a couple of days ago

I am.
Probably would be had I not sold it to pay my cell phone bill like a dummy. Can I have some fishy crackers?
i am i have had my xbox 360 premium syatem since febuary 17th 2007 and it is still owning.
I am. Had it since launch, and I don't anticipate it dying, but if it does. C'est la vie. I'll send it back and get it fixed.
I%26#39;ve had mine for about a year now.
After hearing about them having hardware failures left and right, their is no way in hell I%26#39;m buying one. I%26#39;m not about to spend $400 on something that is going to break in 2 months.
o yea, i 4got to mention that ive had my 360 since launchthough im scared, cause my best friend got his 360 at launch from the same store as me, and his broke (he%26#39;s currently saving up money for an elite)
bought it in November 2006 and its been through some s*** but still no problems :)
My Xbox 360 hasn%26#39;t kicked the bucket yet, hopefully it won%26#39;t No red ring of death thus far.

I%26#39;m still in my first 360 :D
My first one went bye bye earlier today so I have to send it in but hey at least I get it repaired for free.
I am on my first 360 and it was actually a used system when I purchased it. My 360 doesn%26#39;t see a large amount of play and it never gets moved, so I am sure that will help to contribute to a decent longevity.

I picked up a new 360 last night after having got rid of my old one a year or so ago.I recovered my old gamertag and proceeded to redownload some of my old XBL games etc. I've also created a second new gamertag, but when I attempt to use the XBL content from the first tag, I'm told it's not possible. The message goes on to say it's possible on the first system (the one I'd previously gotten rid of) but not possible on this new one.Does anyone know if there's a way to get this new second gamertag to be able to use the old content without having to repurchase it all?XBL content usage rights on a new consol ...

New post-apocalyptic survival horror/sho ...

New updates: Weapons list integrated with main post, removed some unneeded gameplay notes, added details about enemiesEclipse Game FileIntroduction Eclipse is a Third Person Shooter Game that combines elements from the Survival Horror and Action genres. The concept of this game is based on ideas found in the movies Resident Evil Apocalypse and Resident Evil Extinction. You play as Seth Adam Durango, a part-time engineer down on his luck who happens to be visiting his friend, Matt Richards,a medical student, when hell comes to earth (see backstory for the full report). 14 years later, only 3% of the world's population have not become Infected by the Spores and Seth has become a lone wolf warrior who travels around trying to kill off the infected. The game also has a innovative way of customizing weapons, Seth can use one of his powers to ''dissect'' The weapon and whatever you want to combine with it in his mind and then you'll use onscreen commands to combine the two (or 3) items.Sequel Idea: supposing I decide to make Eclipse a series here is a basic outline for game #2: The player takes up arms as a (Canadian) scientist who is part of a group in the UK that is trying to restore the world and along the way slay a few million of the Infected.BackstoryJan 1st, 2000, 12:44 AM. While the rest of the world is celebrating the new millenium, two men are working in a labratory. One is Medical student, Matt Richards , age 19, assistant to Dr. John Thomas, leading expert in biochemical research. The other is you, Seth Adam Durango, age 19, part-time engineer. The two of you were cleaning up when the whole world went to hell. Natural diasters began all around the world, affecting every major continent, while strange spores began floating down from the atmosphere and having a strange effect on anyone who comes into contact with them. A mutation begins to occur in people, first they gain a hunger that nothing can satisfy, less than an hour later their skin goes grey and pale and something snaps in their minds, causing them to go berserk, some die in the process and if the spores drift into their open mouths it turns them into a zombie. Seth and Richard were not affected by the spores, but the earthquake that nearly destroyed the city did. An entire shelf of biochemicals, radioactive fluids and viral antidotes fell on Seth, nearly killing him, a few seconds prior to that he cut his arm on a stray piece of glass, and the chemicals seeped into him altering his DNA and some of the chemicals hardned onto his skin, giving him almost a exoskeleton. Both of them lost consciousness. 4 hours later, Seth wakes up to find his skin has been warped and that Richard is in a comatose-like state . Cautiously, he leaves the labratory and heads out into the streets, the spores are still falling but instead of driving him crazy Seth somehow bonds with the virus contained in the spores. His body becomes purified of the deadly chemicals, Most of the hardened ''shell'' fades away, and he gains a super-human quality, he can look at a machine or weapon or any kind of technology and see each individual part, giving him the ability to customize any weapon in the game. he has also gained advanced reflexes. The first mission is set in this time period, the objective is escape the city and find out whats going on. Eventally you learn that the city is about to errupt in a thermonuclear blast so you jump into the first working vehicle you can find (choice of flatbed truck, car, motorcycle, atv, or dune buggy) and drive away from Death Row as its later called. Flash forward 14 years.....Setting95% of the game takes place in the ruins of the United States, after the outbreak everything that once kept order in the world fell into disarray and died off. Once left to their own, the spores began to mutilate and reformat the land. Small communities were wiped off the map and the few cities that survived were overrun by the Infection. A great amount of the nation became a desert, while Nevada became merely a covering for a tunnel that led to the planet core. some of the mid-east and the entire southeastern corner became a nuclear wasteland. a jungle flourished and died along the southern border, leaving only a ''wooden barrier'' that kept the infected population of everywhere south of the U.S. out. Meanwhile the West Coast has become a hotbed of Volcanic activity. Seth navigates the game world by driving around the highways and wilderness in the vehicle you obtain at the end of the first level. The vehicle has a radio that you use to pick up messages, distress signals, and supersonic waves. Radio Transmissions are how you find out about your next objectives in both the overall story and secondary objective that you have left in each city.(more on that in Gameplay)CharactersSeth Adams- On January 1st 2000, He was involved in a Biochemical accident that gave him highly advanced reflexes, increased intelligence, create spherical electric pulse charges in his hands, advanced vision(infare, x-ray, nightvision, etc.) and the ability to infuse parts of a machine (or machines) to another machine or a weapon to construct a new weapon or tool. He very nearly escaped the city where the creatures known as the Infected were first spotted. 14 years later, he is one of the only survivors that are trying to solve the mystery of where the spores came from.Seth is usually a calm, quiet person, but when fighting the enemy, he is a cold-blooded, unreasonable killer. He always wears a blue jacket that resembles a hoodie sweater. There is a rumor that underneath the jacket he carrys multiple gun belts and ammo boxes. His purpose for fighting the Infected is unkown, but one thing is certain, he won't stop fighting until they're wiped out.Matt Richards- A medical student and Seth's best friend. He went into a coma the night the spores started falling after getting knocked out by hitting his head off a metal counter and having a metal cabinent falling on him, nearly snapping his spine. (this was all due to the earthquake, btw) His current status is unkown.Dr. John Thomas- Matt's boss who is the leading expert on Biochemical technology %26 research. He was out of town on the night of the accident and doesn't find out about Matt until Seth tells him 14 years later. He joined the Survivors so that he could research the Infected and help the Survivors kill them off. He wields a custom shotgun and drives a delivery truck that has been decked out with his own personal laboratory.Brad Winters- The leader of the Survivors, he tries to keep a cool head during combat but he sometimes loses his confidence. He drives a 4-wheel drive SUV at the head of their group. He always carrys his automatic pistol and AK-47. Not much background information is known about him, and he never speaks of the past.Gus Travers- Together with his brothers Tommy, and Jonathon, he tries to rescue as many survivors as he can and keep them safe. The three of them each drive a triple-decker bus and carry a different type of rifle (Gus has an assault rifle, Jonathon has a sniper, and Tommy wields a Burst-Fire Rifle ( an ordinary rifle that fires off 3 bullets with one pull of the trigger) Seth encounters them a few times throughout the game.Fergus Thompson- Brad's second-in-command who never drives one specific vehicle. He used to be a lieutenant in the military and spent a few years in the navy. Because of his past history with weapons he is the group's combat expert and uses whatever weapon he can find along with his own personally tuned m4 and a lever-action shotgun.Jenny Samuels- Although she tries to avoid fighting whenever possible, she is still a big help to the team, keeping track of their supplies, along with navigating their routes and healing the sick and injured. When forced into combat she keeps her knife, automatic machine pistol, and compacted shotgun close. She usually rides with Brad in the SUVRobyn ''Jewel'' Parsons- A teenage girl the survivors rescued from a group of Infected in New York City. After witnessing first-hand the Infected murdering her best friends and parents, she joined the survivors for the dual-purpose of avenging her family, and finding her long-lost siblings, Sammy, and Slyvia. She calls herself Jewel because her family is rich and, growing up, she was a bit snobbish, but gave up that personality after going out with a guy who grew up poor and she really liked him and realized that not everyone grew up like her. Her guns are a shotgun, three pistols and a Katana. she hitches a ride with someone when the convoy is travelling on account of not knowing how to drive.Ian Tylers- A coward at heart but he acts like a big-shot who knows everything. He has two weapons: a pump-action shotgun and a semi-automatic sniper rifle with a flood barrel attached (he can fire multiple bullets with each shot if he opens it) He, and Fergus rotate shifts between driving the supply truck and the comm van.Oliver Carnel- The logical member of the group. He always keeps a cool head except when Jewel's around and contains wisdom far beyond that of the average 18 year old. In combat he uses a magnum pistol and, during desperate situations, a heavily self-modded shotgun.Dustin Havon- A mechanic who joined up with the survivors when they passed through what used to be Detroit. His main job is keeping the convoy vehicles up-and-running but when he is forced into combat he wields a standard pistol and pump-action shotgun. He becomes heavily involved with Operation Eden. The Echo- A ghost that apparently only Seth can see. more details to be addedRaizier- 8 years after the Outbreak Crisis, Seth returns to Death Row, looking for any sign of Matt Richards, hoping that he had survived the fallout. Upon arrival he found legions of slayed Infected and zero forms of life, yet he felt a strange disturbance. He soon discovered why everyone who enters Death Row never returns. The City is held in the grip of a demonic-like man wearing armor seemingly crafted from the skeletons of Infected and humans alike. He wields a red bone-edged saber attached to his arm and a gauntlet that resembles a one-headed hydra, but is rumored to be the skull of a Necromyst. Seth is known to be the only man who can survive a battle with him. Although he shows outright ruthlessness there seems to be something disturbing him.Salvagers- Survivors in each city who gather up supplies and weapons for themselves and anyone who's passing through their depot. The only catch though you have to trade them something of equal or greater ''value'' to obtain anything from them.(More to be added)Enemy TypesInfected (zombies)- the standard enemy. End Result of the spores entering the body. Has pale skin, and use only basic methods of attacking you. If spores fall into the mouths of dead Infected they will come back as zombies, they stay basically the same except that they are slightly slower moving, and if they bite you, you become poisoned. (this applies to Bruisers, Prowlers and Wreks as well)Bruisers- purple skinned Infected with metallic, oversized fistsProwlers- slightly shorter, hunched-over Infected that are very agile and swift, but with 1 or 2 exceptions there is nothing special about their attack patternsWreks- faster moving Infected that use either melee-style weapons (usually just debris, like loose pipes, old tools, etc. or their talons and fangs that more advanced versions have.Berserkers (other names in consideration)- the other standard enemy. basically a combination of the splicers from BioShock and the Plagas from Resident evil 4. Insane SoBs that have ways of making your life hell early on in the gameLakos- These guys only attack you if you get too close. If you kill them at mid-to long range however, they'll explode and start a ''spore storm'' (spores fall out of the sky and bring any dead Infected back as zombie versions.Maulers- Heavily mutated (translates to: has grown giant claws or tentacles. Can spew acidic liquids from mouth and fingertips. or become animal-like) Infected that are now more active hunters. Can only be killed by using specific weapons depending on the mutation.Trypin Guardians- A fully-evolved spore creature whose skin resembles thick armor and besides that they wear makeshift armor on their wrists, chest and lower leg. They have many different ways of attacking you. In addition, there are several Trypins that go by the rank of Sentinel. These act as Generals to the Infected army. One interesting fact is that the Sentinels can speak English in a guttral hiss which each one taking a different pitch. The Sentinels have unique attack styles that are not used by the Guardians or any other InfectedPhychoss- (pronounced Sci-Coss) basically Infected/zombies that are smart. Despite being completely insane from the spores, they actually plan out attack, they can flank you, surround you, or any number of other things. They are capable of using any form of attack that the Berserkers, Infected, or Wreks can. You wouldn't want to meet these guys down a dark alley either...Stingor- Flying spore creatures that resemble giant insects. They have claws, razor-sharp wings, and a stinger that can be shot off or used directly, if hit by the stinger, the poison inside of it will kill you over time. However most of the Stingors are blind and so detect its prey by using sonic frequencies that resonate off of heat.Necromyst- No one knows what these mysterious creatures look like. Some say they look like tall Prowlers with claws that are 5'5 feet long. Others say they look like floating jellyfish. While some who have seen them devour others say that they nothing but shadows that reach out and 'eat' anything it comes into contact with. Looks like this is another mystery to solve.Howler- Savage wolf-like beings that have 3 terrifying features that make them instantly recognizable : Their enlarged (and i mean waaaay blown out of proportion) velociraptor-like claws and the strange markings around their mouth. Their howl is the other feature that makes them a sight to fear: People have been known to suffer from temporary paralysis, insanity, and/or permanent disabilities after hearing this blood-curdling cry. Beware at all costs!Gameplay (Elements)Now, on to the really important stuff. NOTE: I'm writing in ''bullet-point'' style because if I didn't I would probably forget something- The Gameplay is like GTA meets RE4. What I mean by that is: you have a semi-open world to explore and while you do that you will have an objective to reach. On your way to the objective you eliminate any enemy in your way.- The game doesn't take place in just one city. New areas will unlock as you go through, although you can always return to places you've already explored.- You have a limited inventory in which to carry weapons and items at any given time. However you can keep other weapons and items in your vehicle and you can switch your loadout anytime you're standing next to your vehicle.- As I explained above, Salvagers trade you new weapons, but if the salvagers are all killed off in an area (btw you can't kill them yourself) you can break into their Salvage Room(s) (the place where they keep all of their spare weapons, items and ammo. You can also find weapons in the street but 9/10 chances is that it will be extremely low on ammo or otherwise partially useless.- At the outset of the game you are given the choice of your main weapon. (this will also be the weapon that appears in the cutscenes) Each weapon will have its advantages and disadvantages to make sure that they are balanced choices, your play style will probably affect the final choice (There will be 2 different handguns and 2 different magnums)WeaponsStarter Weapons (4):Blaze MagnumShatterz MagnumSnubShot PistolGuardian PistolAssault Rifles (4):AK-47MP-44G36CM4 CarbineSubmachine Guns (6):SkorpionTMPM76ThompsonP90MP5Pistols (7):M9GlockBrowning Hi-PowerSpringfield Armory XDDesert EagleColt RevolverEclipse WarriorShotguns (7):Remington 870Winchester 1894Mossberg 500Ithaca 37Benelli M1014SPAS-12StrikerRifles (5):M21Hunting RifleCrossbowRailer RifleSkullSplitterMelee (5):Baseball batKnifeFire AxShort SwordKatana(Railer Rifle- A hunting rifle-esque gun that can use many unique types of ammunition)(SkullSplitter=R700 power + M2043 design)(Guardian=Two toned S%26W Sigma,SnubShot= USP Elite, Shatterz= DarkSector's Spectre)(Unlockables will include automatic capabilities and infinite ammo for certain weapons)New post-apocalyptic survival horror/sho ...

Sounds good... If you make it, I'll play it... now, are you thinking about making this yourself - like, maybe with XNA, or do you envision this game being made by some big, renowned developer?
big developer for sure, of course even if it does get made it wouldn't be for another couple of years because im still in high school

[This message was deleted at the request of the original poster]
I would buy it. Sounds fun!
thanks for your responses guys by the way which of the three subtitle ideas i have in the first post do you think fits the theme of the game the most?
Eternal Ruin fits the story good 'cause the earth is like all umm... zombiefied and ruined I guess xD.
[This message was deleted at the request of the original poster]
Interesting concept. I am not an 'idea critic' but I have some personal questiosn about this game.1) The story seems interesting, but you may want to come up with an update for gameplay, which is going to be importent.2) All of the updates you posted after the main post, should be edited into the main post so they are easy to find and so when this topic gets large folks won't need to shift through 10 pages to find all of the ideas.3) It sounds a bit like a Crysis/Fallout 3/Alone in the Dark mix, which is not bad, but It will be hard to scare gamers when you are basically I super-human killing machine.I will go to my local Gamestop and see if this game avaible for Pre-Order yet :DKeep up the good work, looking forward to future updates.
Honestly sounds cool and cliche. The story is cool but, personally, the idea of zombies in over done maybe deranged mutants or maybe intelligent, psychopathic zombies (seriously that would be cool - a zombie with an intellect). Also, the gas thing is a bit too in-dpeth it would suck to run out of gas if it not apart of furthering the story. Also, using the car often might take away from gameplay if the player is constantly driving.
It sounds pretty good so far.If you got it made I would play it.
millwrought, what you said is true, it would be hard to scare people wif Seth was a killing machine, but his abilities are there to help even out the skill differences between him and the enemies, because some of them will have powers as well, so if Seth was a normal human, against a enemy with the average AI in the game, he would be killed really easily, also the few abilities he gets are evened out between three factions. 1.55% His original ability of assesing how to maximize the potential of his weapons. 2. 25%- self-defense from enemies 3. 20%- ''environment kills'' like throwing a piece of metal or other debris scattered around to set off a motion sensor that will activate a security system that will shoot at enemies. I'm also going to incorperate a few traditional survival horror elements to keep the scare level up.also, i think your idea of integrating all updates into the original post is the best way to go. thanks for the idea.i plan on working on thedetails for this (and a few of my other game ideas) whenever i have free time from now on clayron, I agree that zombies have been used alot in videogames in recent years, but as i'm still making the lists of the types of enemies in the game, i'm fairly confident that traditional zombies will only be found in the first section of the first level. After much thought I have decided that the player will usually have a good stock of gas so your not constantly having to stop and replenish. as well sometimes the vehicle (i don't say car because you get to choose what type of vehicle you use) and the gas elements are worked into the story, not too often though. The thing about using the vehicle in the cities is that enemies have obstacles everywhere that occasionally make it near impossible to navigate the streets, another point is that theres always a risk that your vehicle can be stolen by a desperate survivor, or it may be destroyed by enemies in their attempt to kill you.NOTE: all of these updates will be written into the main post soon, because right now, to say the truth, i have not kept any records of this game in notes or whatever, most of it was came up with as I typed. thanks for your response msdd9! its nice to be appreciated by the gaming community
first thing im going to say is I am a fan of the RE movies and alot of my inspiration came from both Apocalypse and Extinction.second thing is I only came up with this idea 2 days ago so theres not alot of details or many gameplay specifics.ok here we go....Title: Eclipse: (subtitle pending) (trying to decide between Dawn of Ruin , Ground Zero, or Eternal Ruin)genre: survival-horror/shooter with action elementsbackstory: Jan 1st, 2000, 12:44 AM. While the rest of the world is celebrating the new millenium, two men are working in a labratory. One is Medical student, Richard Sharpe, age 19, assistant to Dr. 15 hours later, Seth wakes up to find Richard in a comatose-like state and his skin has been warped by the chemicals. Cautiously, he leaves the labratory and heads out into the streets, the spores are still falling but instead of driving him crazy Seth somehow bonds with the virus contained in the spores. His body becomes purified of the deadly chemicals and he gains a super-human quality, he can look at a machine or weapon or any kind of technology and see each individual part, giving him the ability to customize any weapon in the game. he has also gained advanced reflexes. The first mission is set in this time period, the objective is escape the city and find out whats going on. Eventally you learn that the city is about to errupt in a thermonuclear blast so you jump into the first working vehicle you can find and drive away from Death Row as its later called. Flash forward 14 years.....Description of Seth: after the second mission you will know 4 main thinga about him. 1. you do not see his face except in the first mission and the final cutscene, this was intended to add a level of mystery to the character. To help hide the upper half of his face he always wears a zip-up sweater with the hood up over his eyes. 2. in the 14 years since the incident, he has become a ruthless killer when faced with the Infected and a calm voice of reason when speaking to his former comrades who are travelling around looking for a sanctuary. 3.His powers have developed a lot. specifically his intellect, recon, and brute force skills. 4. He always fights solo.gameplay: at the outset of the game you choose your first weapon from 4 different choices. creating new weapons can be done whenever your not fighting and only when you dont have any items equiped. the only wasy to gain new inventory and weapons are from special groups called Salvagers, they are people who hide out in a city and try to find whatever will be of use to them or any survivors passing through. usually though to get something good you need to trade for it. the vehicle you chose to take at the end of the first mission becomes your mode of transportation from level to level and a way for you to travel in the occasional open-world environment. NOTE: the level structure will be posted tomorrow because i've still got to iron out the last few details. The environments of the game are pretty varied. The entire midwestern and southeastern areas of the US have become a desert while the entire area surrounding Las Vegas has become partially unstable(meaning that the ground could wither away with the tinest bit of weight that is added. One last story related fact is that 95% of the world's population have become infected. while most of the dead people come back as zombies.NOTE: this is only my basic outline and more details will be added soon, look for an update tomorrow and all questions and comments are welcome.
I'll buy your game if it comes out on Xbox 360. Brilliant Idea. Don't forget to include Katana, a long and sharp and shiny one.
sounds pretty neat
I would defenatly buy it, it sounds spiffy.

now first of all when I hear about these horror games is how scary is it going to be, Like a F.E.A.R. thing or like a dead rising because if its really scary you need to have the ultimate bad*** that pops out randomly in the worst situations and disappears almost like he is screwing with you, make the game have more meaning like how this all happened what happened to your buddy, as a matter in fact make your mutated buddy the bad*** just for a bit of irony.this is a great sounding game after i just like acting like a critic(I found another guy who's making a game called ''HUSH'' go see is forum you can get some ideas from him)

Transferring Saved Data?

I'm thinking about getting a 120gb hard drive, but is there any way to get my game saves from my old 20gb to my new 120gb? I heard that they dont have transfer cables anymore ( dont know if thats true ), but would it be possible to maybe just transfer game saves through a MU if DLC didnt matter because i can just re download it.

Fracture or Legendary?

I know they aren't supposed to be very good, but I want them both and I am just wondering between the two, which is better? and what are the pros and cons of that better game?Fracture or Legendary?
for me it has to be fracture between the 2 loved the demo i spent more time playing with the terrain gun than the actual demo mission lol Fracture or Legendary?
Fracture, it's actually not a bad game if you play it. Legendary is just terrible
I love Fracture, it's one of my favorite single player experiences on the 360. Pretty hard though.
Fracture
Fracture was fun when I played it but definitely not something I would pay full price for.

mass effect tranfering data question

i finished mass effect a long time ago and dont quite remember but wasnt mass effect one of those games that once you finished it you could only start a new game with the same character or start from the last checkpoint(before finishing the game)?if so then how can you transfer data from an unfinished game or a new campaign?because once i finished mass effect i decided to keep playing with the same character but stoped during like the begining of the game, so the only save i got right now is the save from starting the game againg with the same character, so how will i be able to transfer my completed game?mass effect tranfering data question
If your talking about ME2 then probably not if you only have your last save on the new game. But if you still have your old ones you should be alright.

Why make two threads on this though?

Corporate Warfare

What new stuff do they have in this DLC for Saints Row 2? I cant find crap on it.

APB, your thoughts?

What do you guys think about APB? A modern MMO like that looks awesome. The sheer amount of craziness sounds sweet. What do you think?APB, your thoughts?
I think it should be a sweet game. The guys that are behind it made GTA and Crackdown which are very fun games so I think this game should end up being pretty sweet.APB, your thoughts?
I didn't like Crackdown at all but I'm hoping APB will be good. It looks promising so we'll see
I think the game will be sweet! The head guy made the original GTA and Crackdown which were awesome games so I am sure APB will be pretty awesome too!
i cant wait for APB, it was one of my top favs from e3, but every interview i saw about the game now says its going to PC and afterwords depending how it does itll come to xbox.

Is there any point in playing TF2?

My friends play this game on the PC, but since there are no updates for the 360 version, like new weapons, maps or game types, I figure that the online following is much smaller and it probably isnt as fun.Am I right? Is there any point in playing TF2?
i haven't played it either but it has to b still fun on the 360 but much better on the PC Is there any point in playing TF2?
I've found plenty of matches and its very fun. Get it.
I have played it for 700 hours I would definitely say that it is fun.
Whatever happened to playing games because they're fun? :?
If you can't get it for the PC, get it for the 360 atleast.
I borrowed it off a friend for a very long time and is most definitely one of my favourite games. Im definitely picking it up because of the up date once Im financially able.

what update? Are they releasing some of the new maps, game modes or weapons from the PC version?
There are a couple of map updates and weapon updates on the PC version that haven't, or must likely will never, come to the Xbox 360. It's an amazingly fun game, I was really addicted to it for a while.
The PC version is so much better, and has far more people playing than the 360 version. There have been 6 or 7 big updates now for the PC version, added new skills, new weapons, new maps and game modes, none of which have come to 360 and in all likelihood never will.

The 360 version can be fun, but unfortunately you are all to likely to get into a game where people are glitching through the floor or walls to place turrets, or who have created hacked servers which they control the rules on.

If you've played the updated PC version you won't want to play the console version any more. The Orange Box is still fantastic value, but if you are mainly looking for an online shooter, then look elsewhere.
not really if ur playing it on the 360 version. the PC version is so much better, there are updates, modded maps that people have made. it is just better game.

• Playing Japanese 360 games on an America ...

I searched the web for this answer but found conflicting answers. Some say NO games will work from other regions, while some say only certain games are region free, but then from that list of ''certain games,'' there are more conflicting reports of those certain games working and not working. I've decided to ask my trusty Gamespot comrades for more concrete evidence/advice/personal stories. A google search yields a lot of helpful stuff, like a Wikia site list of region-free games, etc., but then on like the very next site someone says hardcore, ''no game is region-free, you need a mod chip,'' etc. I'm not modding, just looking to know which Japanese games will work BS-free on my American 360.I live in Japan and have my American 360 with me. Just as an example, one game I have found to have the most consensus that works internationally as region free is Ace Combat 6. If I go to the store today and pick up Ace Combat 6, Japanese version, from a Japanese store, is it going to run on my fully updated and always-connected-to-Live American360? Will Live detect it as BS and reject it?The second question is how does the effect Gamerscore? Will it be registered as a different game? I already beat the game back home when I rented it, will running the Japanese version access my save from the American game? Will my achievements be picked up and resumed?Playing Japanese 360 games on an America ...
Japanese 360 games is not compatible with a US 360 version. Most region free ones work but I have heard of issues with some people(might just be their system). Not sure how japanese Live works(dont know any japanese 360 owners) so not sure on how the gamerscore will be affected. Probably have to pick US versions up at speciality stores out in town(know a few in Akihabara) or order via Amazon.Playing Japanese 360 games on an America ...

complete list off games that work on jap, usa or european pal consoles.

also not sure about the game save issue as some jap versions of games are named differently to us/european counterparts.
Well, I've got a Asian Xbox 360, which is similar to the Japanese console (NTSC-J), and I say that as long as the game are region free they wil work on your system. Hell, I've got North American, European and Australian games in my collection, and all of them work just fine.
As somebody pointed, use the Play-Asia list.

Most games should be region free, mainly Western games, but even then you got other issues like waiting for them to launch in Japan (if ever) and that they might be in Japanese.

Most Japan-only titles however are region-locked. Best bet would be to buy a Japanese Arcade and depending on the game, buying the right game from the right region.
Thanks for that link.Next issue is, can anyone detail what happens to Gamertags and Gamerscore when using other region games?Scenario 1) I buy a Japanese region game that is region-free (such as Ace Combat 6) and play it on my American 360. Will it resume my save files from the American version? Will it be added as another game on my list, back to 0/1000 achievements, or will it resume my 400/1000 or so already gained achievements?Scenarion 2) I buy the Japanese Arcade 360 in order to not have to worry about region-freeness and whatnot. But I want to use my American-made Live account and Gamertag. Is this possible? Will the Japanese system allow me to call up my American account and use it on the Japanese Live system? Thanks.

Some people like to talk about things they know nothing about. Sites like Play Asia have lists of games that are region coded or are region free. If you buy a region free game it will work fine. About the saves and gamerscore depending on the game some games have separate achievement lists so it would restart to 0/1000 but some share so it depends on the game.
There are some games that although they are the same game, have different names. I would susspect that these are the ones you'd have trouble with regarding achievements. As for game saves, it's difficult to say. I had a PAL console from the UK but I moved to Canada and took it with me. Unfortunately it RROD on me so I had it exchanged for a NTSC console. A few of my games wer not region free but luckily once I'd exchanged them for NTSC copies the saves I had from my PAL games worked fine, as did the achievements.

You will have no problem recovering you gamertag to a different region although when you want to renew your live subscription if using a prepaid card make sure it's not a region locked one. You can (believe it or not) get region free pre paid cards. you wont havea problem though if using the original credit card you used to sign up with if that card is still active.

With regards the region free games, ignore anyone who says there isn't any and just use the link i provided in an earlier post.

Good luck

I don't know if it is still coming to the Xbox 360, but I believe it was APB which may have 200+ players online? not sure if it was though, I forgot... but I can tell you that Frontlines: Fuel Of War has up to 60 players online and Colin McRae: DiRT has 100 players in one room (but that don't really count... well it does but you can't see any other cars and it just adds all of the players' scores up at the end... I guess some people could say it counts and some may say it doesn't...
Yea it's possible. I'm looking forward to MAG on PS3.
You guys are forgetting 1 vs 100. 47,000 people playing at once. Though the game is simple, it can do more than 200 at one time.

Maybe, but he didn't specify. The 360 can support more than 200 players on single game. In a shooter is a different question.

I think it could if it had good dedicated servers. Can't think of any reason why it couldn't.
No there isn't, and the only games involving very large numbers of people will be very basic games that don't rely on very fast reactions - which rules out shooters. A simple quiz game like 1v100 will be fine because all you will do is sit there doing nothing for a while, then a question pops up and you have 10secs to answer it. You don't need to know where the player is, his speed, direction, weapons or anything, and this cuts down the amount of data that needs to be sent.

MAG is out trying to grab the headlines, but look at what you are seeing - you aren't seeing 256 players - they might be shown on the map, but you cannot see them all while playing. What you see is a small section of the battlefield with the 32 people in your area. Each group fights their area in the overall meta game that has all the listed players.

By far the biggest limitation is bandwidth, not just of the server hosting, but of each person connected to it. The more people you have with weak connections the more problems with lag you will get.

hows red fraction?

worth a buy? i thought it looked cool a while back, then hated the demo, but it got a 8.5, worth a buy?hows red fraction?
I wasn't blown away by the demo either, but I rented Red Faction acouple days ago and I'm really having a blast.hows red fraction?
I picked it up and I'm having a blast with it so far. I haven't played the single player yet but I heard it's pretty long. The multiplayer is a blast though. Everything is destructible and it makes for some interesting gameplay. There are ten different backpacks and a bunch of weapons. I'd definitely give it a rent if you're on the fence.
This game is amazing. So much fun. I bought it on Tuesday and dont regret it. Its work the $60. It looks like it'll be very long singleplayer and the multiplayer is soo much fun. I agree, rent it if your not sure about it, but I think you'll just end up buying it after you return it.
The game has yet to hook me. Maybe i'm just not in the mood to play a new game. But graphics were top quality.
It is certainly worth a buy, the MP is actually superior to the SP so a rent is useless. The campaign is fantastic as well, and the graphics are great.

Rent 1st, buy cheap l8r, if ever.
Not worth $60. The story is almost nonexistent. The missions are incredibly repetitive. And the world is so damn dull.

It deserves at least a 9 imo. The only problem is it gets a bit repetitive :(

But I still rarely get bored. Definitely buy it
If the online play is satisfying and Im financially able, this game will definitely be in my possession in near time.

Multiplayer needs to be patched so you have less health. That's my complaint on multiplayer
Not read much into red faction, but will hold of buying ut because i did not enjoy playing theSP, but thought that the MP was aweome so in 2 minds.
Its awsome. Has a GTA feel to it since its open world.

Older gamers...

Guys, I am what I would classify as an ''older gamer''. I have been playing games since I was a little kid and still enjoy them today. However, with responsibilities like work, family and other things, my gaming time has become very limited. My question is for you older gamers out there, what type of games do you play the most and how much time do you spendper week playing?Older gamers...
As a gaming elder statesman myself, I would point you to Xbox Live Arcade and Community Games to start with. You get to try them out for free to see if you like them and there is a more ''retro'' feel to many of those games that you'll feel comfortable with. That is until you get your gaming chops back. Have fun.Older gamers...
Haha, I can relate to this! First machine was a ZX Spectrum way back in 1983 or something so I've been gaming for a while...

These days with work, kids and general family 'stuff', the only time I get to play games is generally late in the evening. Probably spend no more than five or six hours a week these days. A sad state of affairs! And the problem is that if I reach a difficult part in a game and get stuck, I might not play that game for another four or five days. Which generally means I'm still stuck, get bored, want to play something else! Try to play a broad range of games but total noob when it comes to online gaming, something I am preparing to rectify...
I'm in the same boat as you. In fact, my daughter is graduating high school next week. Play maybe 10 hours a week, but it varies based on how much time my obligations take.Luckily, we're not alone. There are plenty of groups out there. I belong to union right here on Gamespot called Mature Gamers Unite. And there are plenty of groups outside of this site like TheMarriedGamers, GeezerGamers, GamerDadsLive, 2Old2Play just to name a few.

I have 2 kids and so I play only about an hour a day some times less. I tend to stick to online multiplayer because you can jump in and play a few games then leave. I got my son playing Halo when he was 3 and he is pretty good now (I supervise him online). When I play single player and get stuck I leave it for a while and play online. I have alot of games but the last one I played to the end was Dead Space. I am away from my family for the next month on a course so I intend to catch up on alot of my games. Then again I did just buy Red Faction......
i'm 21 if u say i'm an older gamer. i played nintendo entertainment system. i play like 2-3 hours a day. i have a summer job now so i usually work 8 hours and ihave nothing to do the night.
I am only 18, but I have been playing games since I was about 5 or 6... I don't have a job, I am going on to another College course in September so I get a lot of time to play games, to be honest. I mainly play First Person Shooters these days... not that I hate because I obviously like them, but I have to say there isn't much variety these days so it isn't a surprise to say that.
Im not really old (Im 23) but have been gaming for over 18 years, have a 5 year old son and a job. My sons mom and I are no longer together, I get my son every weekend, pick him up on Friday evenings, and keep him until Sunday afternoon, then leave for work when I drop him off. I work out of town so I leave Sunday afternoon, and get back Friday evening. So the only time I really play games is when my son falls asleep, so I might get to play an hour or two on Friday and Saturday nights.
I'm in my 30s and have no family but do have a career that can be very demanding at times :( I play 2-3 hours a couple nights during the week, alittle more on the weekends.I find myself mostly playing shooters and more simpler games like burnout, and beat em ups like MARVEL:UA. I try to get into more time consuming stuff like fallout and mass effect, but they've been really difficult for me to figure out. I played the hell out of Baldur's Gate 2 Shadows of Amn and WOW a few yrs ago.

I still have two NES's and if you mess with them right they'll still work. I love the original Tecmo Bowl and still play it and other games.
An older gamer is one with a family whom he has to support. In my opinion, of course.
Recently, my gaming's been at most 10 hours a week, in the evenings after work. The weekend's for other hobbies.

I don't agree. Achievments are meant to be a way to get replayability from your games, even after finishing games you can go back and get achievments. The hole point of them is to make you go back and play them more. The only people who would be bothered with this are achievment whores, and if you actually care if people got achievments ''unfairly'' then you need to rethink why you play games.

no, i don't think they are good. i hate trying to get them because it is just a waste of time to do that. they are the hardest to get because they are players not some computer playing. Another achievements that i hate are co-op ones. it leads to not a lot of times completing them. ur friend might not want to play. i don't want to play with 12 year olds that are going to scream into the mic. there should only be some kind of good achievements like get 100 kills, get this rank playing online, play online, unlock this weapon. those are the only good ones that developers should add when they make games.
sounds like you want developers to spoonfeed players even more, and not even make achievments in the least challenging. Can't say i agree.
Are you kidding me? Achievements online are by far the most fun. I mean, they sure are more frustrating than the ones in the single player campaign but that's just part of it. Achievements are meant to be a challenge, something that's either really easy or silly to get or something really hard to challenge gamers to play differently. Gears of War made you use all of the weapons to get 100 kills. That really made me want to pick up grenades, boomshot, and pistol. Without those achievements I might have never explored that part of the game. And achievements do add replay value, wether you think it's a cheap way of getting it or not.I've been having a lot of fun trying to get the Mythic Map pack achievements on Halo recently. It completely brought me back to a game I used to hate. I can't get enough Halo. If you're posting this because you're having too hard a time getting some achievements then drop them. They're made to add to the game, not take away from it. If you find yourself hating the game just put it down and start up something else. If all achievements were easily picked up then there would be no point in bragging about them, because everybody would have them.
Also, Co-op achievements are the best. I love playing through a game with my friends. We laugh, scream, and mess around a story we open. It's almost like going to the movies, or actually going on an adventure. I know a lot of people are complain that co-op is basically a must have in games now, but in my eyes it adds that much more to a game. My buddy just got Halo 3 because he's seen that me and my best friend are playing it none stop. And he hasn't played the campaign. Its so great to just mess around as we try to beat it on Legendary.
no, online achievements are crap, esp. when if you get a game that no longer has much of an online community. then they can be hell. im all for crazy, out there achievements that make you do things you never would. heck, they give me replayability to my games, some of which id only ever play through once. look at orange box achievements. they had normal ones (shoot this, unlock that), crazy hard ones (protect the village from destruction at the end of ep 2) and ridiculously wierd ones (little rocket man, anyone?) so yeah, im all for achievements. its the online that i dont care for. i mean, online should only be for fun. not everyone wants to try to get achievements on there. heck, some people just want to be jerks and camp/snipe, etc.
a few easy ones are okay but gears 2 online achievements are redicoulous

I still think that this thread is all about people wanting easy achievements, which is just wrong. There's no point in the concept of an achievement if the developers have to make them half brained.
Yeah... like Banjo Kazooie online achievements are just stupid. The multiplayer is really scrapin the bottom of the s**t barrel

Fallout 3 Anchorage and Pitt Pack

ok has anyone out there bought this yet? because im curious how it works? is it like with the mass effect's bring down the sky pack was on the bonus disc you put it in and it will copy it straight to your HDD or does it access live and download it off that?Fallout 3 Anchorage and Pitt Pack
I spotted this online today - I'm guessing it is more like GTAIV TLAD - it will just be a code to redeem from Live and download the content as normal.Fallout 3 Anchorage and Pitt Pack
well thats what i thought too but i went to gamestop and they had actual game cases labelled new and stuff like i thing there were discs or something
i thought they would be discs, considering theyre being sold as an item. then again, im not sure. id imagine its on the disc. thats the impression i got from all the info ive read about it
There's either a code inside or it copies off a disc. Both does the same thing in the end really
I'm pretty sure they're discs, I don't think Bethesda would put out redeem code for XBL on one of their largely single player games. Search Google or ask the GameStop employees, odds are someone will know.
It's on a disc. The pack is for people who don't have an internet connection/don't want to buy off LIVE marketplace, but still want the DLC. Think about it, it would be pretty pointless for Bethesda to sell redeem codes in stores when a person could just buy an MS point card and get the DLC that way (or better yet, use a credit card and not even leave their house in the first place).
Maybe if you're a fallout fanboy you want the dlc case? I wish i woulda bought the disc instead now. I love fallout.

Red Faction Guerilla: FRIGGIN SHWEET!

Unbelievably, Gamefly sent me Red Faction Guerilla on the day it was released. I got pretty lucky! This game is super entertaining. Ive been playing for an hour or so and i just dont wanna stop! There is a ton to do, and you can do it in whatever order you please. Even running around with the hammer shashing stuff and collecting salvage is soo fun.GET THIS GAME! It's worth a buy, imo. I will agree that this game is good enough to rent, but it isn't as super as you're making it sound, it can get repetitive in a lot of parts. The explosions are great though and I love them more and more as I go through this game.Red Faction Guerilla: FRIGGIN SHWEET!
i've heard time and again this game is a lot like Saints Row 2 how mars...is that true?

Both, since that's how all MG games play out anyway.MGS Rising . stealth or action , which g ...
MGS usually has a pretty good balance of both. I usually don't like stealth in games, but Metal Gear Solid is an exception. The first one I played was Sons of Liberty, possibly the best PS2 game ever. I re-played the Plant and Tanker missions a hell of a lot.
I prefer stealth, too. As other mention. MGS have the best of both worlds. Hopefully rising won't be like tenchu..
I'm a huge stealth fan... So... A good balance between the two would be good, I wouldn't want it to just be one or the other.
if its hard core action i wont buy it. MGS has always had the good option of both, so i dont see why this one would be any exception. and i believe i will be picking this one up.
I've always love the stealth part of games (if there is any). MGS has a great mix of the two, so maybe they'll keep that going. But if you have options to go stealth or go in guns blazing, I'll go stealth 95 percent of the time.
A combination of both is best, but if i had to pick one i'd say throughout my gaming experience i've been more of an action fan. I've only ever really played one totally stealth-devoted game and that was Manhunt, which i did enjoy. But after watching the SC:Conviction demo i was thinking of picking up Double Agent to get a taste of whether or not i would enjoy conviction, because it looked like a lot of fun. The demo od DA wasn't that promising but i hope the retail game is better, also i didn't really know what i was doing.
I would be more inclined for eh... 80% Action and 20% Stealth.

Multiplayer (LIVE) + Singleplayer: Call of Duty 4

Multiplayer mainly: Halo 3

Co-op (LIVE): Halo 3, CoD5, Left 4 Dead

Story: Mass Effect, Fallout 3, GTA IV, Bioshock

It mainly depends on what you like or what you're most interested in.
I know you most likely expected this reply, but I would seriously consider Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare it has fantastic visuals, a short but very entertaining single-player experience and a huge life span on Xbox Live. Also, with Modern Warfare 2 coming out it'llbe good to learn a bit of back stoy. Halo 3 in my honest opinion is overated and a little bit of a let down. But I am looking forward to Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach

Hope this helped.

Call of Duty 4 gives a fantstic story with some true badass gameplay (Offline and online). Halo 3 gives a nice moderate length story but you will find yourself playing it online more than anything. If you want long epic rpg's i HIGHLY recommend you trying out Bioshock or Fallout 3. Finaly, if you want a short fun FPS that will keep you busy for hours Left 4 Dead is your game.Again, like Canes said... it all depends.Syleron

The order from best to worst for me is1. Upheval2. Aslyum3. Courtyard4. Dome5. Hanger6. Castle7. Airfield8. Cliffside9. Makin Day10. Outskirts11. Downfall12. Roundhouse13. Seeloo14. MakinI haven't played any of the new maps yet.Favorite Call of Duty 5 Map
best map ever is station. worst ever is makin night %26 day... uugghh..Favorite Call of Duty 5 Map
Makin night is good for rifleman players. Anyone good with a rifle is at home in this map. If you are REALLY good with one shot rifles like a non-scoped Kar98k you will get a lot of rather neat one hit kills.Courthouse is ridiculously fun for the explosive junkie in all of use. My record is FOUR kills with one Satchel charge. I placed it in a spot that people like to camp and waited almost all match, fighting little to stay alive. When a red dot appeared there I blew the trap and wiped them.Seelow is a great map, the only flaw is tanks. Tanks ruin EVERYTHING. They are just too powerful, it would be different if there were weakspots you could focus on to destroy it with a gun, like a gas tank, but no such thing. If they had a multiplayer Seelow without tanks, it would be the best map on CoD5.Another favorite is Hangar, for a different reason. I like making trick shots with rifle grenades. A trick shot is anything that makes a player go 'WOW' in the killcam. Multiple kills in that fashion are bonus. I slaved for hours learning how to get some neat Satchel charge and Rifle Grenade kills that make people flip out about kill cams. My best was firing a Rifle grenade straight up, then having it fall through the gaping hole in the hanger roof and kill two campers. I was immensly proud.

Got to go with Hanger. I love how you can go close range or snipe. And fighting in different spots on the map change the fighting style completely.
Not because I'm still on a high of some new maps, but I really think Nightfire and Knee Deep are some great levels. I'm not a fan of Station because it gives me a Longest/Elongation feel from the Halo series. But it seems like with these two, Nightfire and Knee Deep, they've addressed some of the spawning issues that I've came to get quite annoyed with from time to time. They are just good, challenging maps for all game types...
i love knee deep u can use any weapon and it has good spawns.... and of the originals i love upheaval
Knee deep is the best of the new maps and my favorite now
I just got the map pack today. I have to say that Knee Deep is amazing. Station is solid. Nightfire is meh.

Semi-auto rifles and Bolt Action rifles wont suffer from the fact weapons like the Mp40 and Type100 are ridiculously overpowered for their range and recoil. It is the only map I can use ANY weapon type in without worrying about beings absolutely shut out by everyone holding a machine gun. The issue simply goes from 'Mp40 is a tad unbalanced' to 'Tanks take WAY to much god damn effort to kill'. That is the only huge flaw in the map. Tank respawn fast and take way too much to kill.Although, I can see why people might not favor big maps. After all, my liking it is directly related to the fact I prefer rifles to using the Mp40 or similar weapons I feel are a little too unbalanced.(I complain about it, I would be a hypocrit for using it, so I do not)

Knee Deep is a big map that does a good job of making all weapons balanced and is able to create engaging fire fights throught out the map. Other large maps like Seeloo have too much open ground and make fighting very isolated.
Best: UpheavalWorst: Seelow. I HATE THIS MAP! It's just tanks and people hiding on the railroad tracks! The spawn you right in the middle of a field and it takes like a minute to run to cover because you get sniped or tanked! ughHaven't gotten new maps because my360 broke.
